Mr. Bean and My Race

A lot of bloggable things happened in between my last post and this post (I promise to post the in between as soon as I finish that entry) &;D

Last night I watched Mr. Bean’s Holiday with tita Che. I don’t really like to watch the movie but I promised to treat her with my MTRCB deputy card. Though I didn’t like it, i tried to focus what God wants me to learn from the movie and here it is:

I admire how focused Mr. Bean was in reaching his goal – The Beach in Cannes. He did but while reaching for his goal, he was a nuisance to people he met along the way…

Until now, i am still contemplating how my actions affect other people while i run for my goals in life.

I do pray that I am a blessing and if it’s the other way around hope I will be able to realize it and do something to make up for it…

The Lord never fails to support my realizations in life with HIS WORD (though the best thing is still DRAWING OUT REALIZATIONS FROM HIS WORD

Today’s post in

Proverbs 31 Ministries Daily Devotions

is about running the race.

Right now am physically tired in running my race…but the Lord’s grace is sufficient for me…fuelling my passion…and when the embers are about to die He shows His faithfulness by sending people to fan the dying embers…

Acts 20:24 (New Living Translation)

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Hebrews 12:1-3 (New Living Translation)

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.[a] Because of the joy[b] awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. 3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people;[c] then you won’t become weary and give up.

Recall of Mother’s Day

Last May 13th was Mother’s day and i got the first greeting thru phonecall by one of my inaAkays… she ended her greeting with this SMS “I love you very much nay. With commitment! To the next level! “

~~~same here bituing marikit ni nanay…~~~
Another greeting came from my “panganay” in mentoring:
“Mamikay, thank you for embracing all the joys, pains, triumphs, and trials motherhood could ever offer. Thank you for offering your life that others might find theirs …thank you for being…simply and wonderfully A MOTHER..Luv ya :) Hapi Mother’s Day!”
~~~ thanks ga! Palangga ka ni mamikay!~~~

To my nanay who gave up so much for me… I am blessed to be your daughter.

Because you had been such a wonderful blessing to me, these had been my heart’s desire:

  1. I will be a blessing as a daughter to you
  2. I will be a blessing as a mother to my children in the faith
  3. I will be a blessing as a wife to my future husband
  4. I will be a blessing as a mother to my future children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren!
  5. I will be a blessing as an in-law to my future husband’s family
  6. I will be a blessing to my spheres of influence
  7. and that by being a blessing, my Father in heaven will be glorified. He’s been blessing me to be a channel of His blessings…
