Chow Time!
January 2nd
A lot of “bloggable” things happened in between Dec. 27 th 2006 and Jan 1st 2007 but due to “time constraint” i will write about the 2nd morning of my 2007……
Last night, I decided to be here at the office by 6:00 a.m (soooooooo excited to start working again after 2 weeks vacation : 0 but since I slept so late, I ended up rising up at 7am. If it had been 2 months earlier, I would have ran straight to the shower, fed my 2 dogs, watered my plants and went to work… but life was no longer the same since I had my Tita Che living with me (we really have to eat breakfast at home…) At first I just wanted to cook plain fried rice and sunny side ups…but my “cooking senses” were so “bibo” this morning that I ended up preparing a “gourmet fried rice” from what’s available in my fridge.
I seldom have favorites with my dishes but this one really “tastes good” for me and I can’t help sharing with you the “recipe” (sorry guys if there’s no exact measurements, “tantya-tantya lang po lagi”
1. Saute lots of garlic and onion in butter
2. Add scrambled eggs (sprinkled w/ Ginisa mix for added flavor)
3. Add plain rice, “bagoong”, sweet corn kernels and thinly sliced “manggang hilaw”
4. Season with Ginisa mix to desired taste! Now you have your instant rice and ulam &; )
(maximum time of prep/cooking: 20 mins)
P.S. I can’t wait for overnighters and cook it again, this time for them &; )
