For the past month,

I had been looking forward to weekends

Especially Saturdays.

To be with you again,

To share our lives once more

Over a cup of tea or coffee.

Reminiscing the past,

Living the present,

And looking forward to our future together.

With all the advancements

God allowed for communication,

We’re so near yet so far.

Awhile ago,

We spoke to each other

Countless I miss yous and I love yous

Oh! How I long for that weekend!

When we can finally tell that to each other

Face to face with a warm and tight embrace.

The nights had been cold,

And restless too!

All I want is to be with you.

It had been a habit

To wake up in the middle of the cold night

After dreaming of you, there beside me.

But that was it!

Only a dream,

Only a dream.

Then it is difficult to go back to sleep,

I’l lay in my bed

Wishing, praying, hoping

That someday

I’ll sleep in the warmth of your embrace

And to be awakened by your sweat breath in my face.

After we say our prayer

Of thanksgiving to our Maker

Together we arise

I’ll prepare your favorite cup of coffee

While you’re there in my fave spot,

Waiting….

Then we will go out,

The dogs will greet us

And we will return their kisses

With arms in each other’s waist,

We look up to the sky

And be amazed by the twinkling stars

How great is the God

Who made them all

With their beauty and splendor

Lady moon was not in sight,

But our hearts know

She’s just there.

Together in silence, we will watch

As the darkness of the night

Fade into a bright new morning light.

We are still waiting…..

Waiting for HIS most beautiful
